A map for Venzone by Francesco A.

Bjørnstigen is a real adventure, rendered into an ASCII-platformer level.

The Bjørnestigen is a mountain path, leading from Österbö to Vassbygdi. This tour is considered as both one of the most beautiful and difficult ones in Norway. The route is said to be as scenically appealing as dangerous.

Rather exotic for the genre, Bjørnstigen is primarily focused on narration: Obstacles, difficult situations, and the flow of the level design are used as tools to convey emotions and ideas. But still, it is directed to experienced players, and playing the original game is very recommended before tackling it.
Thanks to FA for making Venzone, and thanks to AD for going up (and coming down) those mountains with me.

Bjørnstigen was created for the Venzone24 project. Venzone is licensed as GPLv3; the Bjørnstigen map and the additional files (located under extra) are licensed as CC-BY-SA 4.0.
